It seems like Mark Stone has never really healed up from his injury. So, here's a thought: Mark goes on LTIR until the playoffs begin and gets fully healed, which creates just enough cap space to fit in Eichel, then Mark can return and play in the playoffs since there is no cap, and then the team can deal with the regular-season cap problem during the offseason.
