Underrated good signing by Chiarelli. I know a lot of us questioned the move at the time but I think we came out on the good side. Letestu's got the ability to play up and down the lineup and not look out of place in any situation.

Gordon was a warrior, but he's put up Lander numbers for the Coyotes this year.

2 more years at 1.8 for Letestu after this year. Extremely manageable.

When RNH comes back from injury - do you slot Letestu as the 4th line center (move Hendricks to his wing) and PK specialist? Or does he keep the 3rd line spot and McLellan finds room for RNH in the top-6?

Because Yak is down there I'd like to try the 3 lines thing for a bit. RNH is solid defensively so it's not too much of a risk. If they don't produce much then I'd toss RNH into the top 6 with plans to trade Purcell and Yak.

Came as advertised.

Decent bottom 6 player, doesn't cost a lot, knows his role.

Pretty clear upgrade on Gordon IMO, but I'm less convinced that Korpikoski is.

Let's face it you can't play Nuge on the third line, to finish the year he has play top line move Draisaitl to the wing. Draft day you try to get those D men we truly need. Letestu Kassian and Hendricks would make a great third line or fourth but you need to move Yak to whoever will take.

Useless player... Does nothing besides faceoffs. Expected Letestu to have more heart.
Casey Ciziikas is much better...

I believe RNH'll be back after the TDL, at that point Purcell will likely have already been moved out. Thus I think you can shuffle Letestu over to 3rd line wing.

Likely leaves you with

Hall-Draisaitl-Eberle
Yakupov-McDavid-Kassian
Pouliot-RNH-Letestu
Korpikoski-Hendricks-Pakarinen

Or... A bit more frankenstein-ish, but could be an idea.

Hall-Draisaitl-Kassian
Pouliot-McDavid-Eberle
RNH-Letestu-Yakupov
Korpikoski-Hendricks-Pakarinen

I'd like to see RNH and Yakupov get a look together. it's a bit of a natural fit, but it's never been tired. Plus this gives RNH a defenceive centre on his line, so he can afford to be offencive and his weakness on face offs isn't as prominate.

Of course that's assuming everyone's healthy

I think Eberle is too soft to be on Mcdavid wing. Yak being a bit tougher / feisty it works better. Islanders figured that out and Eberle was ineffective so Mcdavid had to try to score on his own. Eberle is a better finisher no question just easier to man handle.

Wrong thread likely but whatever. Letestu should be the shutdown line centre however it is worked out.
Hendricks is too expensive to be on the fourth line so there's that.

Hall Drai Purcell
Kassian McD Yak
Pouliot RNH Eberle
Hendricks Letestu Pak

Thats how I'd like to see things for a few games... shuffle the 2nd, 3rd, 4th line LW as needed. Play the lines that are going (and creating more than they give up).

That's the exact lineup I want to see if the team is fully healthy. Kassian can be Mcdavids Semenko. Pou-RNH-Ebs already have proven chemistry. The good thing with Ebs is that you can play him with anyone and his performance always stays the same.

The most underrated player on our team IMO. When/If they get rid of either RNH or Ebs, or maybe both, he should be given an A for his sweater.

Also got his 100th career assist on McDavid's empty netter last night.

Letestu might be the best 4th line center in the NHL.

IMO he is a big step up from Boyd Gordon.
