He's got some competition behind him now with DeAngelo. Similar players, it seems. Can't say for sure, since I've seen very little of AD, but everything from the scouting report to their build seems similar.

I think this is the year that will tell the tale on Barbs. Coop talked a lot last season about how it took him a year to adapt to the AHL. We saw flashes of that last year. Barbs's A game was a lot different than his B game.

Barberio shoots / passes left but he played on the right side of Brewer all season. Wonder if that was part of the problem...learning to play the right side as well as first year player in NHL. I honestly don't remember if he played the left side or the right side at Norfolk when he had his best seasons.

Could explain part of his struggles this season...
