A two-time All-American at DePaul, Aguirre led his team to the Final Four in 1979 as a freshman, when he averaged 24 points per game. A year later, he'd earn player of the year honors before leaving school having averaged 24.5 points per game over three seasons. ... The son of a military man, Wilkins stunned nearly everyone in North Carolina when he left his home state to enroll at Georgia. There, he made his mark with the Bulldogs, averaging 21.5 points per game and earning SEC Player of the Year honors before leaving for an illustrious NBA career following his junior year.
