Yup I was at that game and was calling for Bledsoe to be benched he was so awful at that point and holding back an otherwise promising team. When Brady played I was certain it was due to performance. My seats were right where Lewis hit him I had a perfect view of it that was one hell of a hit since Drew was such a big guy as well.

Sooooo this is okay then, right? I mean obviously he'll need a couple weeks to be 100% but as long as they let him rest and come back strong. Glad this isn't season ending, at least based off of what has been reported so far. Anyone know more about this injury and the severity of it?

Well am glad it was not a concussion or separated shoulder. Hopefully he can come back in a couple of weeks

Him and Bruins dodged a bullet.Bruised lung way better then busted bones.Healing time for that is 3 to 14 days.
Thank goodness - Sounds like all he needs is complete rest.

Thrilled that it's just a lung contusion. May take a while to heal, but a concussion for him would have caused significant problems and ended his season. I'm confident he will be back soon enough and be able to jump back in playing the same way he was before injury. GREAT NEWS!

Good news. I wish the Bruins were a bit more secretive about it although I suppose the only way to have a player 'target' that weakness is a hit like Ferland's again.

No need to rush it either. Let 2 weeks be 3 if it has to be. We should be able to hold a 3 point lead without him.
