what was the point of retaining if he is a UFA?
Bruins could never afford that contract Stone signed
thx for the input, I know you live there and have access most of us don`t. Honestly liked this guy a ton when he was with the Caps but not playing the B`s. Super hands, good speed, Devils just never really a good fit. I think there`s a good chance we`ll appreciate this move as we march towards and into the playoffs.I've watched him a lot (well when not injured) and he can be a legit top 6 when motivated and skating hard. he's got really good skills, good with the pick..
He totally disappears at times though. But this could help him get another pay day so I hope he seizes the opportunity. I would honestly like to see him with Krejci and Pasta. Use 74-13-22 on the third line.
he is NOT a 3rd line player in the sense the Bruins use for their 3rd liners.
Someone sell me on this guy.
His numbers are milk toast.
Low goals (3rd/4th liner numbers), single digit penalty minutes (soft), etc.
Why are we giving up a 2R and 4R and not letting the kids have a chance?
Decent career playoff numbers. Coyle and MoJo are solid additions.

We’ll see. If he plays on the 3rd line, that would be a pretty ****ing good line...
But have needed more for awhile now. Maybe we’ll get an actual top 6 winger in the offseason...
MoJo - Coyle - Backes or Cehlarik - Coyle - MoJo
Depends on where they actually put him. Do you put MoJo with Debrusk/Krejci? We’ll see how he looks on Wednesday.
Maybe Backes to the 4th line?
Backes square peg
That's how I feel. Perhaps they can sign him and make the picks they gave worth itI've always liked him and we are lucky to get him.
YawnWait....so you actually looked at penalty minutes and came to the conclusion he is soft from that? Would 20 tripping penalties suddenly make him tough?
If the NHL got rid of cheapshot artists like Marchand, it would never had happened.
