TD GARDEN
Puck drop: 7 p.m.
TV: TSN4
Radio: TSN 1050
Key matchup: Patrice Bergeron vs. Dion Phaneuf.
Bergeron leads the Bruins in scoring and is on pace for a career-high 74 points. On top of his excellent penalty killing skills, leads the Bruins’ powerplay with 20 points (third-highest in the NHL). Phaneuf and the Leafs’ penalty killers will have to be aware of Bergeron but also watch for linemate Brad Marchand
Need to know: The Buins entered the all-star break with a wild-card berth, part of which is a reflection of an excellent powerplay (25.9 per cent, second-highest in the NHL). But Boston has not produced on home ice, sporting an 11-13-2 record at the Garden. They’ll be looking to improve that stat in the post-all-star schedule . . . Former Leafs goalie Jonas Gustavsson, a backup in Boston, was pulled from a game Jan. 27 and hospitalized with a recurrence of the heart rate problem he suffered in Toronto. Gustavsson has undergone three surgeries to correct the condition, the last coming in 2011. He has been placed on injured reserve and Malcolm Subban will back up Tuukka Rask … The Bruins entered the break having won five of their previous six games.
Up next: Thursday, vs. New Jersey Devils, 7:30 p.m., Sportsnet
