They prevented the Red Wings from getting any Corsi points though, which is good.

So Corsi accurately reflects their contributions that shift.

Then Detroit despite being dominated in the defensive zone, corsi will show they were even with the Santa line in corsi despite this not being the case?

no, corsi shows that the santo line has been utterly dominant tonight, as they have been.

goals, assists, plus minus etc. wouldn't tell you that, but corsi does.
