MADtv, the sketch comedy show that ran for fourteen seasons on Fox from 1995-2009, has found a new life on the CW. In its original run, MADtv was a revolving door for comedians, not unlike SNL.

Probably the most famous pair of alumni are former cast members Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, who started their own comedy show on Comedy Central, aptly titled Key and Peele and released their own feature film this year, Keanu.

The executive producer and showrunner David E. Salzman said, “MadTV is all about the cast and their characters. We have double-barreled strength — an amazing new cast of eight, plus fan favorites from our original 14 seasons who will also appear on our new series for The CW.â€

The new iteration of MADtv will debut on the CW this summer and will feature an all-new cast: @Midnight writer Chelsea Davison, Carlie Craig, Jeremy D. Howard, Amir Kamyab, Lyric Lewis (a member from improv group The Groundlings), Piotr Michael (who is known for a wicked Donald Trump impression, so expect a lot of that), Michelle Ortiz (TV credits include Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) and Adam Ray (who will be voicing Slimer in the new Ghostbusters film).

Along with the new cast members, original MADtv stars are also expected to return, though who specifically is uncertain.

Officially, the revival premieres on Tuesday, July 26th at 9 pm on the CW. If you’re looking to catch up or relive the glory days, the CW has several episodes and clips available on their site, including the 20th anniversary reunion that aired last year.
