Said it back then that I was more upset about losing Weegar than Huberdeau. I mean, team situation/(expected) contract played a role in that too, but he was (is?) definitely underrated.

No, they easily got a top 30 Dman. 6th in 5v5 scoring among Dmen during his last two seasons with the Panthers and absolutely elite underlying numbers. Calling him a top 96 defenseman is ridiculous and just shows lack of awareness.

HF boards had a massive hate on for this player. Wonder where all those people are now. Analytics community specifically. Such an obviously good player, he can also play both sides of the ice equally as well.

Not remotely close to as good a player as Weegar though. Vegas looks lost and disjointed right now. I think theyre gonna be a force next year but with the injuries and so much turnover in the line up they are in one against Dallas.
