Doesn’t really make a difference to us, only Stillman and Mac. Either he’s on the roster and contributing for 750K against the cap or he’s in San Antonio(or another NHL organization) and doesn’t count towards the cap at all.I am happy for him for sure, he has been a pleasant surprise, still not sure why its a one-way deal though
I'm going to guess this means he's here to stay for the rest of the year. And I can't complain with that in the slightest. He's been solid on the fourth line. Don't think he'll ever be much more than that but that's okay too. You need quality fourth line players.
Agreed. He needs to stay. He’s at the age where going back to the AHL won’t do him much good.I'm going to guess this means he's here to stay for the rest of the year. I think he'll be better than porter. He seems to start with more skill, and he plenty of time left to improve. He should be able to score significantly more than Porter. Porter was a great hustler, and played defence well, and forechecked and cycled the puck well. But, he got overpowered by bigger and stronger players. MacEachern will be bigger, heavier, and probably stronger, when he finishes building his body. I predict that he'll be both a better scorer, and a better all-around player than Porter.Someone I saw compared him to Chris Porter. That seems fair. Always liked a Porter.
I have been mispronouncing his name all this time. Maybe it’s one of those Kyrou situations where his name is westernized.
I thought it was MuhKAYRN.
Guess not
