[fieldset="Waivers"]
  • If you'd like to place a player on waivers, post in this thread along with the player's contract information.
  • To save time and avoid confusion and complications, waivers will be "first come, first serve". Whoever puts in a claim first will get the player.
  • If you claim a player and he puts you over the cap, it will be vetoed and the said player will be put back on the waiver wire.
  • Teams will have 12 hours to claim a player off the wire before he clears.
  • Once a player is placed on waivers, he cannot be taken out until he clears. Once he clears, you may send him through re-entry waivers if you wish, but keep in mind if someone puts in a claim you will have to pay half of the player's salary and cap hit.
  • Only 2 players can be place on waivers

  • Don't skimp out on an offer, if you make a terrible offer the player may not re-sign with you at all.
  • Not all players will re-sign, in fact, the majority will probably test free agency.
  • Any player not re-signed by 11:59 P.M. the day before free agency will enter free agency, and you will not have exclusive rights.
  • Just because you made the first, or highest, offer for a player during free agency does NOT mean he will sign with you. Many factors go into a player signing so nothing is a sure thing.

we have addressed our center issues, and now posses a very deep and talented group of kids. Our wings have tons of skill and for the first time in a while, we have truckulance. Our high end skill can also compete with the tops in the league.

Our bottom lines posses skill as well, but are more of the gritty type, where we will make you work every shift.

Our defence is full of puck movers so we have no problem getting the puck up to our FWDS. It lacks high end skill, but we are very deep as nobody on my roster is a AHL type dman.

Bryz fixes our #1 goalie problem, and with no bears in canada, he'll be fine.

Our team has depth at every position, star players at every position, and tremendous skill all over the ice.

Our entire top 6 can score 30+ goals, and our bottom 6 is filled with gritty, hard-working guys who can also put up points.

We have insane depth at centre and on the wings too. Our depth at defense is also plentiful. This is a team that can win games easily.

Our defense is mainly comprised of shut-down guys, but who can also contribute offensively from time to time. We have our PP quarterback in Wiz, and his cannon of a shot is very helpful.

Our goaltending is arguably the best in the League, with 2 starting goalies making up our tandem, both of which have won a Stanley Cup in the past.

We feel that this team can easily go far in the playoffs.

With our forwards, defense, and goaltending, I have 2 messages:

1) GOOD LUCK SCORING ON US
2) GOOD LUCK STOPPING US FROM SCORING ON YOU

We had a tough roster to start out with losing Tobias Enstrom and Evander Kane. We think that we have adiquetly reloaded the roster adding in franchise center Tyler Seguin. We also added stars like Henrik Zetterberg, Dion Phaneuf, Brent Burns, Roberto Luongo, and Brayden Schenn. It's a solid roster all around, and we are happy with the direction the team has taken. We also will have 3 1st round picks from the Buffalo Sabres which could all be high picks in the next 3 years. Our talent pipeline should be strong for years to come.

I am no longer GM of this team, they were simply under league control.

This team has superstars and the depth to go deep. One of the best centers in the game in Giroux centers two big guns with size in Hartsy and Hossa. Second line features three playoff warriors in Andrew Ladd, Danny Briere, and Kris Versteeg. Ladd and Versteeg were line partners in the vaunted 2010 Hawks Cup win. The 3rd line features a top 3C in Goc centering Flyer legend Simon Gagne and dependable veteran Ruslan Fedotenko. The 4th line has two 4th liners from the 2010 Hawks Cup win in Eager and Burish, centered by a great 4C in Nate Thompson.

The defense is very stable and features 5 top 4 defensemen. Dan Boyle is still a top 12 defender in the game. Coburn, Grossman, Oduya, and Hjalmarsson all provide playoff experience and skill necessary to go deep. Jay Harrison is a very steady #6. None of these guys is playing up a spot.

King Henrik in net.

The Detroit Red Wings rebuild has been a success. We have assembled a squad of the most promising young players in the NHL, and have a very good prospect pool as well. We also included the perfect mix of veterans to our youth, and grit to our skill. We also have 18 picks in the very deep 2013 NHL Entry Draft. We are confident that our young core will lead Hockeytown to many Stanley Cups in the future.

Here in New York we are happy at the team we built. We believe that our defense is in the top 5 in the league but it isn't the best. Our offense will make up for that and will help Jummy Howard by scoring goals.

This season, I took a different approach to rebuilding. I decided to keep one all veteran "chippy" line, and add in a few younger but NHL experienced players, and a strong group of rookie prospects for the NHL roster. I also aimed for one other thing: depth. Let's face it, prospects are unknowns at best. While other teams may have the big name prospects, Sabres have depth. Alexandre Daigle and Patrik Stephan were the big names drafted first overall in their draft years. Some guy named Zetterberg went in the 7th round, 210th overall. And some other guy named Henrik Lundqvist was also drafted in the 7th round, 205th overall. Each one of the prospects I traded for was researched, and accepted only when there was significant "upside" in some facet of his game. Players get injured and lose careers, Dan Blackburn is a prime example. By having depth, a prospect can have a career ending injury, and the orginization can keep progressing forward because of the depth. Not that the team wouldn't take care of the player, players are not something one discards as you would trash. But should one fall, there is back up.

I also signed a group of players to 2 way contracts, player who at some point in their career were considered to be good prospects, but haven't yet lived up to the hype. We can afford ourselves the luxury of allowing these players to redeem themselves, again because of the depth.

Barring injuries and other complications would you really want to face a team with Evander Kane-Ryan Johansen-Brendan Shinnimin (CHL player of the year)-Slava Voynov -Doug Hamilton- Braden Holtby in a few years?

This team was built to have players learn and develop now, bring up other prospects as first group matures, and perhaps have a player or two reclaim his career and contribute.

We have a very inexperienced team. Sam Gagner is our number #1C, and he's barely good enough to be the #2C on a lottery team like Edmonton. We aren't going to score a lot of goals, and Neuvirth isnt going to keep a lot out. All in all, we're #notwinninformackinnon

SALARY CAP: $70,200,000; CAP PAYROLL: $69,470,333; BONUSES: $50,000
CAP SPACE (20-man roster): $729,667

Offense
Rolling 3 scoring lines, with 4 guys capable of potting 30+ goals, and 6 capable of 55+ points. Tavares-Roy-Nielsen-Nichol might be the best center depth in the league. Our 4th line is a gritty, hard-to-play against type, with guys that'll hit (Martin), fight (Tootoo), and grind the game out (Nichol)

Defense
We may not have that #1 stud, but we roll six top-4 defenders in Gonchar, Robidas, Tyutin, White, Klein, and Kuba, as well as a good 7th defenseman in Carkner. Very deep all around.

Goaltending
Are you kidding? Two starters in Hiller and Nabokov means that both will be fresh throughout the season, averaging 40 games apiece. Good save percentage, nothing spectacular, but very, very solid.

Vote :isles for the Playoffs, which is my goal as this is my first GM game!
