Thought I'd make a little noise for this kid.

Height: 6.01
Weight: 180 lbs

2012-13: 61 GP, 2 G, 6 A, -13
2013-14: 64 GP, 27 G, 9 A, +15

Pros: Excellent hustle. Gives 110% every shift. High energy guy that is willing to put in the work in along the boards and that's why he's worked his way up to the second line this year. Never afraid to crash the net. 90% of his goals are from 5 feet in front of the net or closer. Also an excellent PK man. It is actually fun to watch him work on the PK and I can honestly say he's the only guy I can say that about. Seems like he could break lose for a SHG at any moment.

Cons: His puck handling skills are poor at the moment. He fumbles the puck a lot when it's on his stick. His vision and passing aren't great either. Those are two big reasons his assist numbers aren't great. Also his skating leaves a lot to be desired. He'll fall over at least once a game for no reason.

Projection: He can play either center or wing. He mainly played wing his rookie year. He's been playing 2nd line center for a good part of the second half of the season. He has the two way game to play center at the OHL level but I think he'll be better served moving to wing once he goes pro. I think his ceiling is a 3rd line 2 way winger that is a PK specialist. That being said I think he's very likely to hit that ceiling. You know what you're getting with him. It's not high risk/reward. You'll be rewarded. Just not quite as much as maybe going after a project with a higher ceiling.

I'd say he's worth a mid 3rd round pick and anyone who drafts him is gonna love watching him play.

Thought I'd give this thread a bump.

Got ranked 33rd NA skater in the final rankings after being ranked 89th in the midterm rankings. Had four goals in five playoff games.

Anyone think he can crack the second round?

I agree with a lot of the report but I think the projection is a little off.

He is great around the net, he has an extra sense and good finish that lets him score all those goals he had this year. Gets in positions and gets his stick on pucks and in shooting positions when players at this level normally can't. His skating and lack of playmaking ability is going to hold him back I think though. Up and down winger who isn't a guy who will beat you 1-on-1 but works hard and is okay defensively. Likeable enough player but his deficiencies will hold him back in pro hockey IMO. When the speed of the game ramps up his skating and playmaking will be even more of a drawback. Easy to cheer for but not sure he is a good NHL prospect.

I do, we had him ranked 41st on our final ranking. He's an excellent two-way player. He has a great compete level. His positional awareness is very strong. He's going to be a great defensive forward at the next level but has the skill and the hockey sense to get involved offensively. In a draft that is a bit weak I think Sadowy will be a great pick. I also think his skating improved late in the season and isn't as much of a concern as it was early on.

Update (for the Sharks fans out there):

After 36 GP this year he has 24 G, 22, 46 Pts, +4 on a very young 8th place Saginaw Spirit squad.

He's played both center and wing this year. He's also seen an increase in PP time.

His skating and puck handling has improved greatly. You can see he looks more confident with the puck on his stick now. He's able to make good individual plays when the options are limited now. As a result of this and then increase in ice time, his goal to assist ratio has balanced out.

Still solid defensively and as good as ever on the PK, but might have taken his physicality down a notch. Won't see him throwing a big hit or fighting as often as his role as a grinder is not needed at this point for the Spirit.

Very good chance at cracking 40 goals this year (12 goals in the last 10 games) and maybe 50 next year with continued development. One thing that he should try work on now is the accuracy and power of his wrist shot. He loves scoring with in 5,6,or 7 feet away from the net, but getting his wrist shot fine tuned would do wonders to completing him as goal scoring threat from all areas.

Still think he's gonna be a 3rd line winger, PK specialist with the ability to put up 15 goals (plus or minus 5) a year (30 plus or minus 5 pts) at the NHL level.

Would be cool to see him get an invite to the subway series next year. Could play a Nick Paul role with ease if he was asked to.

I was there and saw it live. Looks like to me the linesman did a terrible job making sure player isn't skating directly in front of opposing team bench. Guys in the video said he was chirping but doesn't seem like he was talking much.
