He was a 2014 originally and has passed through 2 drafts since. Pretty sure any team is free to sign him at any time, similar to the Dane Fox situation, who the Canucks signed in December.

He was a 2014 originally and has passed through 2 drafts since. Pretty sure any team is free to sign him at any time, similar to the Dane Fox situation, who the Canucks signed in December.

He is a UFA, but it's because he was passed over in three drafts('14, '15, '16).


Dane Fox is different because of his late birthday.

Players with Sept. 16th to Dec. 31st birthdays are only eligible for two drafts while players with Jan. 1st to Sept. 15th birthdays are eligible for three.
