Playing 4 minutes less per game. He has averaged 11:40 a game per season. That is between 3rd and 4th line minutes. On top of that he is still over 2 shots per game. This has been a remarkable start to his 20 year old season. On pace to better Panarin's 20 year old season playing 6 less minutes a game.
How long is he signed for in the KHL? Any possibility he can come to NA after this season ?

Gritsyuk scores again.

7 goals, 2 assists in last 8 games. (4 goals in 3 games since returning from injury).

Now leads all of KHL 21 & under players with 0.67 ppg.

Coach Bob Hartley has been working a lot with him on video and thinks he can get even better.

Yes, that's right. I meant 20 & under.
The problem with those cutoffs though is Rashevskiy is nearly exactly 6 months older. So yeah, technically 20 and under, realistically they aren't that much apart in age.

Well, when Rashevsky was about to turn 21 in a few weeks in September you were all about using his "technical age", now it's the other way around. Interesting how it works.

And even then he is tied with Ilya Usov.

But yeah, he has been on a very nice scoring streak. Turning into much more of a shooter than anyone imagined, I think. It's going to be interesting to see how the roles/TOI on Ava play out now that Tolchintsky is back in the lineup.

I wasn't really trying to compare him to Rashevsky as I was trying to place him generally amongst his peer group.

Even if you go to all drafted players under the age of 25 in KHL

1. Dmitri Rashevsky (WPG-21y, 41d): 29gp - 15g - 11a - 26pts (0.90ppg)
2. Arseni Gritsyuk (NJD-20y, 249d): 21gp - 9g - 5a - 14pts (0.67ppg)
3. Kirill Marchenko (CBJ-21y, 121d): 25gp - 9g - 5a - 14pts (0.56ppg)
4. Jakob Stenqvist (DAL-23y, 247d): 25gp - 4g - 9a - 13pts (0.52ppg)
5. Nikita Korostelev (TOR-24y, 284d): 24gp - 9g - 3a - 12pts (0.50ppg)

6. Artur Kayumov (CHI-23y, 278d): 25gp - 9g - 3a - 12pts (0.48ppg)
7. Ivan Chekhovich (SJS-22y, 319d): 27gp - 8g - 4a - 12pts (0.44ppg)
8. Nikolai Kovalenko (COL-22y, 33d): 21gp - 5g - 7a - 12pts (0.57ppg)
9. Vitali Abramov (OTT-23y, 195d): 30gp - 4g - 8a - 12pts (0.40ppg)
10. Artyom Galimov (ANA-22y, 72d): 29gp - 3g - 9a - 12pts (0.41ppg)

Really only Rashevsky above him...and he is the youngest of that group. Next U21 player would be Marat Khusnutdinov (MIN-19y, 125d): 27gp - 4g - 7a - 11pts (0.41ppg)

I was looking at drafted players, but if including undrafted players as well, here are all U25 leaders in KHL (* means they are drafted player)

1. Nikita Tertyshny (23y, 161 d): 30gp - 17g - 11a - 28pts (0.93ppg)
2. Dmitri Rashevsky (21y, 41 d): 29gp - 15g - 11a - 26pts (0.90ppg) *WPG
3. Denis Alexeyev (24y, 49 d): 28gp - 8g - 11a - 19pts (0.68ppg)
4. Artem Nikolayev (22y, 240 d): 27gp - 7g - 11a - 18pts (0.67ppg)
5. Ilya Usov (20y, 108 d): 28gp - 7g - 11a - 18pts (0.64ppg)

6. Alexander Polunin (24y, 178 d): 27gp - 9g - 6a - 15pts (0.56ppg)
7. Arseni Gritsyuk (20y, 249 d): 21gp - 9g - 5a - 14pts (0.67ppg) *NJD
8. Kirill Marchenko (21y, 121 d): 25gp - 9g - 5a - 14pts (0.56ppg) *CBJ
9. Amir Garayev (20y, 314 d): 29gp - 8g - 6a - 14pts (0.48ppg)
10. Adam Liska (22y, 36 d): 27gp - 5g - 8a - 13pts (0.48ppg)

But I think people get the idea that he has been scoring a bunch at young age.

This is a way more adequate list. Gritsyuk is doing well, no question. He is not ahead of everybody else by a country mile either though.

Still salty? You just fail or don't want to understand the simple "math" of nothing being wrong with calling a 20 year old a 20 year old as long as he is a 20 year old. It has nothing to do with comparing him to anybody.

One is a 00 while the other is a 01, substantial difference seeing that most cutoffs for minor hockey end at Dec31. Rashevskiy has always been playing with the 00s.

Yeah, except for the fact that you didn't call him a 20 y.o., you wrote his "20 y.o. season, 19 y.o. season, etc.", which made your point completely askew. And you conveniently forgot about it. I would stop being "salty" if, for once, after being flat out wrong, you would just admit that instead of writing pages of linguistic gymnastics explaining "logic", "math", or however else you choose to call it.

Ive been wondering the same, I've seen 1 or 2 other fluky goals from him that are similar. Could be just luck but I wonder if there is something a bit deceptive about his shot that is accounting for a little of it.

The kid is a very smart player, so who knows. Maybe he knows a magic word, that makes pucks flying like guided missiles...
