Pretty clear intent to injure on an unsuspecting player.
Happened in the first period and Kase never returned, has an MRI scheduled for today.

2 minute penalty, nothing more.
that's a cross check, its a 2 minute minor. they happen every game.
It was retaliation for a non call right beforeThe puck is nowhere near them. Kase is skating toward the bench obviously going for a change not even thinking of playing the puck or that Lucic is anywhere near him. Lucic crosschecks him. For what reason? There is no legit reason for that crosscheck to happen.

I wonder if you would feel the same way if say Ritchie did this to McDavid? No?
a cross check with injury is supposed to be a 5 minute major. And its completely away from the play, should at least have been a misconduct as well.
I should have been at least a double minor or 5 minute major.. but probably not a suspension, although by definition, 'intent to injure and unsuspecting player' could be argued.
It did happen to McDavid last round. No call, no discipline.
This isn't thread worthy.

Injury has nothing to do with it. It's the severity of the contact by the officials discretion. It was no harder than any other crosscheck that they let go in front of the net. The fact that it was nowhere near the play is why they called it a minor.
A double minor for what? see above for response to the a major.
