It's a shame how his game has regressed ever since leaving Dallas. Outside of one season in Boston, he hasn't come close to posting the numbers he did earlier in his career. 4 straight seasons of 25+ goals, and 60+ points, before being shipped off for Seguin.

Seguin has yet to record LESS than 70 points since the trade.

Such a lopsided deal, it's a real shame Dallas hasn't been able to build anything substantial around a player of Seguin's calibre.

Kyle Okposo with his scrambled brains is even worse and he's being gifted PP time on the top PP unit for Buffalo.

It's crazy to think Boston gave up such a future young star and has nothing to show for it now (even dealing Reilly Smith away) but still is a really good team despite being so torched on this deal.

I thought his 1st year with us was just a bad season for him and that he would turn it around.

Nope.

Haven't even seen flashes of his old self out there. Its crazy.

Boston is good despite GMPC, not because of.

Hes bad at passing
He cant receive passes
He fumbles shots
Hes slow

His defensive checking is ok
His defensive positioning is good

He should be a 4th line winger with times on the 3rd line

He should be on one year contracts for $1.2 - $1.5 million

But... forced top 6 minutes and PP time with ZERO results ... 6 years $36 million

Rumour in Vancity is his family wont settle in Van and hes considering terminating the contract and going back to Sweden. And apparently hes made most of his contract in the first three years anyway so its not like hes leaving a ton a money on the table. Hes made his tens of millions, now wants to go home

Hes completely checked out of our games, its time to go home Loui

He’s Excellent defensively. Helps stabilize any line he’s on with his smart 2-way play. Offensively non existent.

Bobby Ryan is inevitably going to get named in this thread, but he's not as bad as Loui. His contract might be just as bad, but his play (at least offensively) is miles better than LE.

I think canucks trade eriksson for hyman straight up without blinkning
Hyman's probably a better overall player right now but there is pretty much no player in the league who is worse with the puck on his stick than Hyman.

Hyman's great defensively, one of our best pk'ers and is a great puck hound but that's where his positives end.

Hyman is a great player and there’s no chance he is or was the worst top 6er
Hyman has averaged 34 points over the last 2 years riding shotgun to Matthews...In the 5 or so sample games Kapanen has played with Matthews, he's been ppg and it's not like Kapanen was highly thought of by HF.

I honestly wonder how much of Matthews historic start this year is from not having to play with Hyman as his most common linemate and having 2 guys on his line that are at least respectable offensively.

Luckily there are only 4 years left on his contract...

He bought a couple of restaurants here in Gothenburg two years ago from a convicted rapist. The bad reputation hasn't vanished and he lost approx $1,6 million last year.

At least Loui can do stand ins for Swedish artist Håkan Hellström when his carreer is over.
