Vote for a player and plead your case, talk, have fun, etc.

Only players who are eligible for the 2020 Calder trophy (so no Wagner, Amadio, etc). Calder eligibility is defined as:
- No older than 26 years old as of September 15th, 2019 (so Prokhorkin just makes the cut, if you wish to vote him in)
- Has not played in more than 25 games in one season or more than 6 games in two consecutive seasons. (so Matt Roy, at 25 games, just makes the cut if you want to vote him in)

No players left to nominate, though if you all want to nominate to stop this chain, I'm receptive to that. Otherwise, might as well keep going!

About 2-3 seasons ago, Imama had a 41-goal season. Any chance in hell he can be that type of player in the future? IIRC, we gave Tampa a 5th round pick for him. It'd be a shame if it was all for nothing.....

I didn't even realize the Kings had this many prospects.

Kinda opens your eyes at the organizational depth a team has.

Keep in mind these are all players who are Calder eligible (for rookie of the year) if they signed and played for the Kings this season. Other young players, like Grundstrom, Wagner, Luff, etc don't meet the criteria.

A snowball's chance in hell.

It's like he's actually gotten worse.

It depends on how you define prospect. Guys like Roy and Brickley, they're already 24. They're teetering on the edge, which is why they're sort of padding the list at 17 and 18. Same with Prokhorkin, who will be 26 before the season starts. While he was a Kings draft pick, he's also been a regular in a professional, non-developmental league, for 6 years. That's stretching the definition of prospect. Even Petersen, he's not a 21 year old. He's going to be 25 in Oct, and won't be getting a real chance at the starting job until next year, when he'll be 26. He's only been paid to play for 2 years, so in terms of experience, he's green, but he's not exactly young for a prospect. That's not completely his fault. More of a numbers game due to contractual obligations.

23 picks in the draft over the last 3 years, a couple college free agents, a trade or two, and it'll add up eventually. The more the better, because of course the success rate of prospects is on the low end.

If all what was for nothing? You can call him a late round pick for the Kings, who likely won't work out, like most late round picks. There wasn't much more to to deal.

He started out playing in the top six. That lasted about 10 minutes. Poor defensively, poor overall puck skills, poor hockey IQ, poor positioning. He does have a hard shot but rarely is in position to use it. He's a healthy scratch most games before finally being demoted to the ECHL. Takes dumb penalties, will stick up for you as a good teammate and can fight. Pound for pound in his weight class he's as tough as it gets and often he has to take on bigger guys. The Reign don't have an enforcer this year since Devane was not brought back, so that improves Imama's chances for sticking around in the AHL this year, especially since goon Gadzic is back with the Gulls. The goons are getting fewer and fewer in the AHL, but a few are still hanging on, so you have to have a counter. If MacDermid doesn't make the Kings, that reduces Imama's chances at the AHL if MacDermid slips through waivers yet again.
