There are a few things I've been paying more attention to lately and I'm wondering if these stats are tracked. I kinda have my doubts but if you guys know of them, please let me know. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
1. The percent of times that a team wins a face-off in the defensive zone and manages to get the puck out of the zone without giving the puck up to the opposing team before the puck is cleared out of the d-zone.
2. The percent of times that a team wins a face-off in the offensive zone and manages to score before the opposing team gains control of the puck or the puck leaves the offensive zone.
3. The percent of times that a team can get the puck out of the defensive zone on its first attempt. This would be when they're playing 5 on 5. Icing the puck would be considered a failure.
