Its sad to see him kinda falter this year. He was such a nice linear path up until this year where it looks like hes taken steps back.

Happens to a lot of guys. Along the way, Oshie and Backes have had down years. Steen appeared to have taken a step back in Toronto before the Blues acquired him. Perron had an off year before the Blues traded him. Just off the top of my head, Duchene and Lucic are having off years. It's no mystery that most of these individual off-years occur when their teams have rougher years. I bet that if the Senators can climb the standings over the next couple years, you'll forget all about that one slightly off year Turris had.

Liking QuietOnTheFront's list... except for a couple things, mine would look like this

I actually think this thread would be more suited in the polls section, to try and get a consensus... But would need like 30 polls (1 for each team) :help:

McDonagh but no OEL? Foligno but no Kessel? Faulk, but neither Sedin? Johnson but no Duchesne?

No Kessel, no Ryan, no Sedins, ...

Foligno is Elite, those guys are bum

Why are people putting Luongo on their lists and not Anderson? Grass greener type thing?

That's why I wanted to leave out goalies in this thread... completely different discussions than for skaters.

Haha, this. It's a classic main board-style thread.

lol there's plenty other meaningless threads if you guys don't like it.

People talk a lot about "high end talent" or "elite" but until we have some kind of consensus, it's apples and oranges in discussions...
