So my two big acquisitions would be Zegras this off-season for 2 x 1st round picks (Winnipeg 24 and Calgary 25) and Jordan Harris. The second would be Crosby as a UFA.

It may just be me but Barron is a better hockey player than Kovacevic who is a flat footed pylon.
Barron has a far better chance of cleaning up his game before Kovacevic suddenly finds untapped talent.

I would be astounded if we moved Barron before Kovacevic.
I liked his last few games in Laval and he just needs to learn how to use his size and strength to his advantage. (keep his feet)
His instincts are fine he needs to trust them and move the puck quicker.
My guess is Hughes attaches more value to Barron and won't move him for .50 on the dollar.
Looking at the rope we gave Ylonen you can be sure Barron gets at least another year.

I don't expect much change to the lineup to start the year, however with Dvorak/Evans in their last years before becoming UFAs, Dach missing a lot of time the last 2 seasons and Beck probably a year away, I wouldn't be surprised if Hughes makes a move for a C this summer.

One guy who could be a target would be Brendan Brisson, Vegas have Eichel, Hertl, Karlsson and Roy at C locked up for multiple years and are in win now mode.

Sign Xhekaj and Barron (if not traded) to bridge deals (2 x >2M$)

Enquire about the possibility of trading Dvorak without retention and, if a team bites (cap floor purposes?), offer Monahan a mid-term deal (3 years x 5-6M) to help further the development of the young core.

I see us moving on from Anderson and Ylonen in he offseason. That third line is full of guys that are playing for a contract. Dvorak and Armia will be UFA and RHP has arb rights after next season. I can see that line working super hard. I would leave a spot open on the 4th for someone to win a spot and Pezz being the 13th forward.
