So......now that all hands are on deck, I'm pretty excited about this forward group. Not much elite talent at this point but a lot of good, versatile players.
Here is what I'd like to see....and why.
Looch - Krejcu - Connolly
While he obviously hasn't had the career that Horton and Iginla have, Connolly certainly plays a similar game. Krejci and Looch have flourished when they've had a big, shooting RW with them.
Marchand - Bergy - Pastrnak
Two of the best defensive forwards in the NHL,can certainly cover for Pastrnak's deficiencies, and Pastas offense is a nice compliment to them.
Soderberg - Spooner - Eriksson
Solid wingers with a young skilled center. Good speed, can be a matchup nightmare for 3rd pairings.
Talbot - Kelly - Smith
I know Clode won't sit Campbell, but this what I'd do. Smith is obviously available to spell Pasta in defensive situations, or if he struggles, but this is a solid 4th line, IMO.
