Lindholm, Wennberg top another solid Swedish NHL Draft crop

In recent years, the number of Swedish born-and-raised players picked by NHL teams during the NHL Draft has continued to serve as proof that the nation of Sweden is currently one of the top developers of hockey talent on the planet.



In 2011, Sweden saw an outstanding and record-setting 28 players taken, eight more than the year before. In 2012, another 22 were selected. These numbers represented, in each case, the highest number of Europeans selected from any one country at the event.
