Nice has shown very good quality when NOT in control of a game, trying to counter and explode with their speed. They've been in trouble when they have to break down a defense. This is common to all of Galtier's teams.
Lens is similar in that regard but have less trouble breaking down buses. Still they're better in transitions.

So stylistically, this game might end up with two teams not wanting the ball. But Nice is at home and will try to push, which makes them underdogs IMO.

Young players to watch : Bard, Todibo, Boudaoui, Gouiri for Nice, Wooh, Da Costa and Kalimuendo for Lens.

Players to watch because we love football : Seko Fofana and Amine Gouiri again.

So yesterday we saw some blatant reffing mistakes, might even be worse than mistakes really.

Reims leads 1-0 at Marseille.
At the 88th, Reims has a counter and Ekitike falls on the ground in the box. Frankly live I didn't see anything. Caleta-Car goes to the guy and forces him up. Ekitike says he was hit by an elbow.
A minute later, VAR calls up the ref, Letexier. On the replay, Caleta-Car's elbow is BLATANT. And totally uncalled for. He wanted to hurt. Red card and penalty expected by everyone after the replay, including by both commentators.
To everyone's surprise, Letexier calls... nothing. Play on.


A few minutes later, Payet shoots wide and after the shot, falls down on a Reims player. Ref goes to VAR and.... calls a penalty. Absolutely amazing, especially considering the elbow incident. Both commentators absolutely shocked at the call. Payet equalizes.

A minute later, Kamara tackles a Reims player without ever touching the ball and killing a counter. He was the last defenseman.
Kamara himself goes to the lockerroom because he knows that an obvious red. Letexier gives him a yellow. Even Kamara can't believe it.
