I agree with you, but who else do you take? Hunter Shinkaruk? We picked at 21 and it was pretty spartan by the time the wings took Mantha.

Its not like he was a top 10 bust like Luke Schenn with lots of talent on the board, granted in hindsight.

Burakovsky and Shea Theodore were picked shortly after.

Despite the loss and them not getting any points, I thought Nylander and Kapanen both looked great.

I was impressed by all of the young guys, they all looked solid in their first game, just imagine once they're comfortable in the NHL. The future is bright.

Hyman looked great on his skates today. Don't think leivo is that good of a skater. Whats crazy though is we have so much talent left. Guys like Marner, bracco, tymo, johnson, leipsic, leivo, lindberg etc. Keefe has done a great job developing the guys in the ahl. It's still way too early but great debuts by the rooks.

Soshnikov was a pleasant surprise too. Can't say I knew too much about him before this game but thw guy's got a motor and intensity.

All forwards looked really good, and Carrick looked Boss on the backend.

Sparks had a good game bar the 2nd goal.
