I wonder what would have happened if they didn't build the pacific coliseum on an ancient Indian burial ground.

I also don't know why they had to dig up the bones and move them to the GM Place build site.

Evidently the arena for this new expansion team (Canucks) was supposed to be Downtown (Vancouver).

Vancouver now has the 7th oldest building in the league at 27 years old.
The land is worth huge moola.
If they build another arena they will likely look just outside Vancouver, Surrey or Coquitlam, maybe Burnaby or Richmond but doubtful there.

Where ever it is it will be very close to Skytrain and highways with easy parking access. Another arena, hotel, casino complex. Maybe in conjunction with first nations.

Or maybe they move to UBC arena and sell 5000 tickets :D

I often wonder how the 1967 expansion Canucks are doing in the parallel universe where the Habs and Leafs didn’t block Vancouver getting a franchise.
Just the Leafs as far as I know. Because at 4,400 km away, Vancouver is obviously in Toronto's zone of influence, but the 4,600 km to Montreal is a bit too far.

Then the Canucks were strongly in the running to get the Oakland/California (Golden) Seals instead of Cleveland getting them. You'd have to think that team would still be around today rather than being the weird glue that holds together the history of the Dallas Stars and San Jose Sharks.

And a little bit’a Cleveland.
