Cool. So many "disabilities" have become abilities with amazing technology like the hearing device described in the story. Hats off to McMaster Children's Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, and Sick Kids for doing things parents thought were impossible not long ago. But also, kudos to Christian's mom for looking beyond what the experts saw as his limits.
