I can think of two instances. The alleged BOD meeting and the dinner event. I heard about the first one and was invited to the 2nd but didn't go.

Ted used to respond to all his emails too so he has his ear to the internet wall I'm sure.

There was no alleged meeting. They did meet. Old ESPN boards I think. I confirmed this with one of the people who attended.

But its whatever. I do think they interview candidates out of a sake of completeness. Even ones they have no intention of hiring. This happens in almost any business for one reason or another.
