Leo Lazarev a 16 year old netminder born and raised in Moscow Russia before moving to Michigan at the age 15 had a season no 16 year old goalie would dream of. Lazarev who trained and lived in Detroit for the past year under the Detroit Red Wings goalie coach was hoping to be selected in the OHL draft despite being a year over age but due to only living in Michigan so long he was unable to go in the draft last year. Just recently the superb netminder was drafted round 2 by the Ottawa 67's. After one season of jr.b under his belt spectators believe Lazarev could be starting for the 67's as soon as this September.

What about former London 1st rounder, Liam Herbst. The 67's traded a 2nd round pick in the same draft to acquire him.

But, fear not good friends. The 67's dropped another 3rd round pick in that draft on a goalie! Yes, fans, that is two 2nds and a 3rd IN THE SAME DRAFT ON GOALIES!
