Not that I agree Phaneuf has been good but the Norris trophy is a joke.
The last 3 winners shouldnt have won it imo. And Phaneuf is a much much better all around player than he was when he was the runner up for the Norris.

Paul Ranger is having a really solid game.

Gardiner-Ranger pairing needs to start playing more now that both have found their game. Reilly-Franson pairing needs to play less.

That's pretty much what's happening right now. Ranger is seeing a good amount of ice this period.

Norris voting can often be skewed by offensive numbers.

Phaneuf had good offensive numbers last year, but he wasn't anywhere near as good defensively as he's been so far this year. Letang and Subban aren't great defensively, either (though Subban is definitely passable defensively).
