Barring a significant change I'd say we are on pace of a top 10 pick yet again.

I'd probably say a coaching change, a change in philosophy, and a change in the team's desire to compete all would fall under significant change.

Really? I personally like when pregame threads pop up after the previous game is over and then GDTs as soon as possible on the day of the game... Gives more to talk about (lines, injuries, etc.)

I hate when GDTs don't get put up before 12ish personally :p

Game day threads are like hockey games and the other threads are like practice. You become a better hockey player in practice, not during a game.

Well there are three trades I know that are brewing only time will tell if they are considered big change after this...carlyle being gone. I am very happy with Horachek but then again I was also very happy with carlyle until mid last season where I saw he lost the locker room...so let's see what happens,

This is not very encouraging. It seems like yet again we will start the season off in a playoff spot and then the patented "18-wheeler"

Also hoping that our Bozak line will score many points for us tonight. They are mui importantte.

Ducks are strong and they'll have some talent too, but our team right now is so much better than anybody else's so I ain't worried at all.

We seem to be the Buffalo Sabres to the Ducks.

Leafs have already beaten the Ducks once this year and they have the 2nd best record in the NHL.

Will we be able to do it a 2nd time, but this time in their barn?.

This would be a huge win if the boys could pull it off and play a sound game limiting shots and scoring chances in the process.

If our Leafs are going to win one game in CA then this might be their best opportunity tonight.

With the flight restrictions the Leafs won't get into San Jose until 3 AM and then play on back to back nights against the Sharks.

Great effort by the Leafs limiting the shots to 20 if they keep this up and buy into this new system the wins will come, finally everyone is playing like a unit, next game against the Ducks let's hope for a win.

Leafs played excellent, met a disgustingly good goalie. Better team effort but every win is absolutely necessary right now. Gotta get the next one boys.

Just based on last game, I feel like this new style of play will produce a lot more wins for us. We managed to limit their shots and we still got a lot of good scoring chances. I feel like we didn't get as many 2 on 1s as we usually do, but that's a small price to pay for way lower shots against.

The biggest thing that is helping us is the short pass to the centre in our own zone... this is much more effective than just chipping it out along the boards. When we just cleared the puck off the boards, the other team just brought the puck right back in. With this new system, we are able to exit the zone and maintain our possession and go for an attack.

Just proves how consistently BAD this Leafs core really is! You'd expect to see improvement year to year! But no, nicks, nada, none!!!

That's why the core has to be broken up! We've seen coaching changes, swapping out of support pieces, upgrade in goal, and nothing changes!
