Grigorenko was supposed to be a top 5 pick in 2012 but he feel to #12 and I suspect Buffalo would have hoped that they hadn't wasted the pick on him so Bracco or any draftee dropping is usually very telling, not alway but usually.

When you talk about Grigorenko you do realize that he just turned 21 this offseason and 36 pts in 43 AHL games and 6 pts in 25 NHL games right?

I'm not sure why you find that insulting. The way other teams deal with Dubas- they wouldn't be mean to him, but just try and take advantage. It's not personal, just business.
Not only is it insulting that whole point of view is ignorant. 90% of the gm duties has absolutely nothing to do dealing with the other GM's. You don't need experience to make trades you need ASSETS... LOL trades is with out a doubt the easiest part of being GM anybody can do that. Take advantage of what exactly? Your not eluding that age equals stupidity are you?

Actually, for Dubas, everything would stem from age. He is an early 1st round pick. He has worldly talents, but is unproven in his craft. Why would the veteran GMs give him the type of respect given to other GMs who have already proven themselves capable of winning in battle?

Tell you what. If you think age means nothing, then get yourself the top law school graduate to negotiate your next legal problem with a grizzled 30 year veteran.

What does that even mean? None of it makes sense. The hardest part of being a GM is in house dealing with your owners mandate, dealing with agents representing your assets, dealing with any unhappy employers players or other wise and this little thing having an eye for talent when putting your team together rather it be the management team including scouts to work in drafting, coaching staffs both with the NHL, AHL etc... . Whoever is named the next GM rather it be Dubas or not the grunt of the hard work has already been established. The rest of the job requires intelligence of hockey IQ to identify talent and communication skills to work in a team environment in decision making. Dubas has the communication skills to a tee. The eye for talent is something a GM regardless of the experiences GM's have are in constant need to proving themselves... There's no real advantage in experience in that front. Actually experience could be a flaw in this case as they look backwards into trying to replicate what they done before when some forward thinking in doing something different is the requirement.

As for your law enforced metaphor you do realize there's this thing called having a capologist that every NHL team has on board for these reasons? Dubas has one that helped create the entire CBA... that's a weapon of advantage that Dubas has in his pocket. David Clarkson trade was info based by one Mr. Brandon Pridham. :yo: Who by the way has how much experience as an assistant GM? ;)
