Sad thing is, you don't even need prime Patrick Roy or Martin Brodeur goaltending. Just need a competent goalie who could make timely saves and aren't giving up back breaking goals like Samsonov.

You absolutely let Tavares and Marner know in the offseason that were moving on and make a list of destinations. We Need a stud D a 2c and a # 2d. Almost 22 Million in cap would go a very long way to help that.

Leafs certainly do need him, but if the rest of the team can't score then he's not going to be enough. I just don't get why the Leafs offensive is so dry in the playoffs with all those talented players.

People say this franchise is cursed. They're just managed horribly. How do you go two decades without addressing the goaltending?

Going into the playoffs with Samsonov and Woll as your options. Are we supposed to be excited about our chances this year?

That was not very enjoyable to watch. I should just read in the evenings. Been trying to cut back on stress after work, deal with a lot of contentious business at work and there's a lot of pushback for all kinds of small maintenance tasks that need to be done. What am I yapping about even, I just want to win. I have no analysis to add other than that. Frustrating that we can briefly lose form for moments that Boston is good at exploiting. But that's still part of the game. Also need better performance in net. And need more from the 2nd line. And we're missing a Nylander and McMann.

Swayman 100% saves the Fredric goal and likely the Marchand goal.

On the other end, Samsanov lets in a few of those saves Swayman made.
