I highly doubt Nylander is moved back to the wing. He has tremendous success every where he played a centre and I don't see it changing any time soon.

Marner is going to need to knock Babcock's socks off in the fall to make this team. A 20 year old Nylander, 19 year old Matthews, 22 year old Brown, 24 year old Hyman and 23 year old Soshnikov is probably enough rookies for one roster.

1st line takes the toughest assignments to shelter our two #1Cs of the future (By future I mean the year after next)

Matthews and Nylander lines will be 2a and 2b, both will get similar ice time and lots of opportunity. It's probably we sign/trade for a vet winger who can slot in on a scoring line so we don't have 4 rookies (If we get Vesey) on the wing. I'd expect 2 vets with grit and finish to take 2 of those Winger spots.

Tough to say what it will look like, I mean Matthews, Nylander, Kadri seems like a safe bet to be our top Cs, but there's also the possibility of us landing Stamkos in free agency.

I will say Matthews, Marner, Nylander will all be up with the Leafs full time.

There won't be any vets you can acquire that will be better than these prospects with the same amount of salary. Unless you want to trade significant assets or throw away money, vets aren't going to happen.

I agree, especially as they just handed Kadri a long term contract. No way Stamkos comes to Toronto now.
For the first time in years we have our top 3Cs maybe they won't be ready this coming year but the year after that Nylander/A.M. should be firing on all cylinders.
