interested to see the islanders

Strome , Brock nelson, Leddy and Boychuk

hot start or are they actually that much better this year

as much as Pitt and Detroit were measuring sticks for the Leafs i think this one is definitely one too.

Kulemin changed the spelling of his first name since moving to the Island to the correct Russian way (Nikolay).

Uninteresting fact but something I wondered why he didn't do it here.

So Kulimen will score tonight, and so will Tavares so that's two goals so far. However other than that, their line up doesn't impress me. Hot start or not, I think we're a better team.

Their first line and ours are close, but then after that our 2nd is better, our third is better, and our D is close. I also think the goalies are close. But the extra depth we have will make us a better team.

I predict a 4-2 win for the leafs tonight.

Bernier might not be confirmed but he should be after the way he played the last game.

Man I hope we see something from our top 2 lines. Would also be nice to see the 3rd line get a goal tonight.

Do you have the link where it states Bernier starts tonight? Thanks.

Lineups are not confirmed but given Bernier's previous start and Reimer's career numbers against Ottawa, our next opponent, I would have to assume Bernier will get today's start and Reimer will get the next one.

You do what every team in the NHL did to the Leafs 4th line last year - ignore them.

skate around them before they even realize where the puck is, and they're too slow to catch up.

Unless maybe they're not quite as bad as Colton Orr was

I hope Percy is back in, Gardiner out. I can't fathom how as a veteran player now, he continues to make the rookie mistake of throwing the puck up the middle from behind the goal line. Frustrating!!!!

Hopefully too - the 4th line plays a regular shift. Wasn't this the beef people had last year???? 4th line playing 4-5 minutes... Well, what's the excuse with Orr/McLaren not on the roster!?!

Islanders 4th line is fast, intensive, physical and can play. We are not talking about three Colton Orr's here exactly.

They won't be gooning it up. They will be out there raining hits on anything that moves though.
