Full circle for Guy Boucher. He was almost hired by the Leafs to be their head coach before Mike Babcock decided to sign with the Leafs. Now he's back as an assistant coach. I assume he'll be a contingency plan if Keefe can't get over the hump.

Van Ryn was an assistant coach for the Blues for the last 5 years. Not sure why he made the switch but he's well respected and has a cup ring.

I forgot about Guy Boucher. Has head coach experience which can’t hurt.

Speaking of hurt, good thing Van Ryn is on the bench when we play Bostons Lucic.

I would lean more to Gruden as the Keefe replacement if it happens.

Using history as our teacher when Babcock was replaced we went to the Marlies for Keefe rather than Hakstol or MacFarland from the big team assistants.

Guy was the guy they were going to hire before Babcock accepted. Shanny always liked him.

Guy Boucher, was going to be the head coach before Babcock, and then was supposedly nearly one of his assistants.

I'm not a big fan of keeping Keefe but I like what I'm seeing with the rest of the coaches.

You have a former NHL assistant coach as your new AHL head coach.

You have your former NHL head coach as an assistant coach.

I like most of what I'm seeing from Treliving so far.
