the draft wards thread is on page 40, and we actually had a thread per day leading up to draft. :) this is it, the night of nights, and we're going to know who is going to be the next Maple Leaf (x2) Friday Night. (among other dramas)

Y'all - I know some people are going to be bummed out because "their choice" didn't win, but I think we have to trust Hunter here. he knows how significant these 2 picks are and I don't think he did anything by being cute. so I think just for this weekend, we should be happy whomever we pick, and not like them later ;)

Oh gawd, if we draft Marner we are going to have to listen to what a bust he will be for the next few years.

If we draft a D Man, we are going to have to listen how Babcock is calling the shots, and why didn't we draft player X instead

Well, I will be happy, as long as they stay put at 4, and hopefully, make a couple trades, that would be nice.

with a stud d, and c on the board and we take another winger?, i'll lose it.

we have 0 in the pipeline for high end Cs and nothing special when talking about d

So does anyone have the ACTUAL start time of the draft? I know Sportsnet says 7PM but I don't know if that includes their 1 hour pre-event.

Marner will be a center. Why don't people get this.

Even if he doesn't become a centre as long as he becomes the best out of the trio I don't care what position he plays. We can draft one next year, or trade for one -- draft BPA, always.

Somebody brought up Kessel -- if you don't draft BPA it could become the difference of drafting a J. Staal rather than a Kessel.

the draft actually starts at 7 or a little after. It's always been 7-10 apprx. give or take what happens before, during, and a bit after.
