Not a fan of having so many pre-season games, you really only need 3-5.

Any word on the rookie tournament.
Seems to always be in London/Kitchener area, be nice if it they moved it around more.

Quite frankly I am looking forward more to those games than the regular season. I understand there has to be patience but many times the young players are not given an opportunity when it is earned (over dumpster vets like Smith, Winnik/Santorelli types I can live with) .

The NHL roster doesn't have many players that are enjoyable to watch

I don't think it's a big deal.

With a coaching change it will also give them more opportunity to work on new systems in game. I would also think more so than any year since the 08/09 season there's going to be a lot spots for the Marlies up for grabs, So it will give management and the fans more of a chance to see them.

Yea, So I'm not going to complain about more hockey. :D

I had that reaction when the Leafs app on my phone sent me this notification. Talk about a lunch bag letdown!

I'm happy we have so many pre-season games. We're going to have so many random players... we're gonna need some time to figure out who makes the cut.

Agree. These pre-season games will be important in terms of roster choice and systems.

When was the last time Toronto played Montreal in the preseason? I remember for a while that we played again the Flyers and Penguins in the preseason usually.

Flips between London/Oshawa

This should be Oshawa's year.

It's been in London for a few years now :(

I went to 2 of the games in Oshawa and it was awesome.

But, there were quite a few empty seats, I think it does better in London from what I've heard.

Hoping it comes back here next year though but we'll see.

We're actually playing Montreal in the pre-season? I don't remember the last time we did that. It's always usually been Ottawa x2, Detroit x2 and a few other random teams.

London was pretty empty too, when I went to Chicago v Leafs midweek game. ao much so that the actual coaching staff and managment just sat in an empty section in the corner.
