ding ding ding... you winnnnnTrick question. That's clearly Fleury.
I can't help but think that Babcock repeatedly complaining about his team getting jobbed on goaltender interference calls had something to do with the call on Dumo.
FWIW the goaltender interference thing seems to be a big problem league-wide, especially this year.
Though, I mean... lets just kinda cut the pretense and go with "NHL reffing is a big problem. Full stop."

Wheat beer probably. I am leaning more towards "going to bed though"

This needs to be highlighted. Murray’s development curve is something you never expect. It makes no sense. He put up bad numbers in juniors until something clicked in his final year, then he dominated the AHL and then he didn’t miss a beat in the nhl. 13 RS games and then he handled the playoffs. It took him 3 years to go from a forgettable prospect to winning the cup.
Anyone who said Jarry was better than him now or would be soon was being ridiculous. Maybe Jarry is never better than he is now but expecting him to be Murray was dumb.
It is, because they always need one big thing they’re terrible at every season. At the root of it they’re terrible refs for a terrible league with terrible accountability.
Personally, I hope I'm still alive when the robots take those jobs. Actually, they probably wouldn't even need an actual bot on the ice, just sensor arrays. They'd only have to roll out to bust up fights. Viva la Revolution! That circles back to the refs being impressionable or unprofessional. Honestly, if they can be played like that then all coaches need to get in on it.
I think Murray coming into the league and immediately winning 2 cups has skewed many pens fans perception of what a rookie goaltender normally does.

He's just so mentally strong. You never expect to see that from someone his age. Hell, you don't expect it from a 30 year old. Matt Murray isn't the most talented goalie to come along, but he's so focused, so calm and collected, he has qualities that defy age and experience and it's not really something that can be taught. To criticize another young goalie for not having that edge is like criticizing a teenage girl because she's not Cindy Crawford.
I think they are just a big gaggle of dumb**** meatheads who couldn't cut it at the actual sport so they do this, instead. But they never let go of needing to be a part of game so they insist on making themselves a determining factor in the games and do things like keep lists of players they pay extra attention to or let slide on stuff. And the league does nothing. And why would they? This is the same consortium of bush-league jagoffs that stock their PLAYER SAFETY department with former league punching bags and troglodytes.

They need to be treated like children and told that inaction is in itself action, for one thing. Then it needs to be accountability and understanding that people’s lives, quality of life and livelihood are in their hands. Those morons are the frontline for player safety.
The refs and DoPS need to be gutted and retired goons or dirty players need to be told to **** off.
