LD Simon Kjellberg - Rogle, SWE JRs (2018, 163rd, NYR)

Not expecting this kid to garner a lot of talk as he hasn't represented Sweden in any big international tournaments and won't play at the Ivan Hlinka. I saw him a good amount last year though and I like him. Nothing real fancy about his game but he's a big, smart and positionally strong defender with a solid first pass.

Also worth to mention is that he is the son of former NHLer (and Nashville Predator) Patric Kjellberg, so there's some decent bloodlines there.

Rangers fans made fun of this pick when it was made, but he’s in his second season of college hockey and has 7 points in 8 games. He’s also a bigger defenseman. I haven’t seen him play, but what I’ve read is that his skating is the biggest problem with his game.
