One of my favorite D prospects from the WHL, he didn't look out of place in his first WHL season, he was dependable defensively and he's been an offensive producer at every level, don't be surprised if he has a breakout season next year.

Really good player, from what I've seen, not an expected first rounder, but I think he can be a top 3 defenceman in the draft. I know everyone is high on Lijegren, but Smart is all-around very solid.

Basically the opposite of what I'd expect Kelowna to do at this point in the season, interesting move.

Smart should have a good shot at sticking on Regina's 2nd pairing, this trade could be huge for his draft status if they make a deep run.

By far the most underrated dman in the WHL. His offensive game is underrated and he's a beast defensively (best defensive dman among the draft eligible players in the WHL).

Valimaki/Fleury/Foote/Jokiharju/Smart are my top 5 WHL dman so far this season and no one's talking about Smart, he's really under the radar.
