The answer to both is Alexander Ovechkin.

When he's not training or in a game, he's probably the most laid back player there is.

When he is training or in a game, he's one of the most intense athletes I've seen.

Of course he is really slow but the intensity isn't there anymore. Hopefully he is smart enough to retire after this season
