However, you would think a smart GM wanting his AHL team to make the playoffs for only the 2nd time in his 8 year tender would have asked for a scrub NHLer/decent AHLer in one of his deals.

The GM couldn't care less about Laval. The day you decide to ship out 3/4 vets knowoing full well you might need the 2 or 3 best players in Laval....you acquire AHL vets to compensate. Even if it means going back 1 round.

Why was traded Cousins again ? he had still one year left on his contract. Why not keep him ? And Thompson ? For mid-rounders, once again who have about 25-30% max to reach the NHL in 4-5 years. What a waste.

Evans and Hudon should be in Laval right now.
