This game will be on NHLN as well.

Projected lineup...

@NHLBruins: Lines:
Beleskey — Krejci — Pastrnak
Marchand — Bergeron — Eriksson
Hayes — Spooner — Connolly
Kelly — Kemppainen — Rinaldo
Talbot — Randell

D pairings weren't posted. Looks like the forward lines are pretty much set.

Am I missing something? That is basically our starting lineup for regular season, no?

Pretty much....yea
The only thing left to figure out is who is the 13th forward and who makes the 4th line.

that line up is gross

Yeah, it's gross :shakehead

Before making an ignorant post, why don't you give it more than...Oh, they haven't really played any games with this lineup. Nevermind, you know how things are going to play out before they actually do. Got it :thumbu:

I'd really like to see Eriksson-Krejci-Pasta. But they're adamant on Beleskey being there. 63-37-21 is great in theory but it didn't work last time and I'm not sure if it will again. None of them play selfishly enough. They need a selfish guy on that line.

What's so gross about it? I`m liking this lineup. Bergeron hasn't played too much with Eriksson, that line should be great.

Eriksson deserves a shot playing his natural LW with Krejci. Does anyone think that Beleskey is more of a first-line talent than Eriksson? The team's three best two-way forwards are on the SAME line. Why? In addition, Eriksson didn't mesh well with Bergeron and Marchand before, so why attempt to repeat that? Oh, it's Julien.

Have Hayes play his natural RW on the second line and make Loui the first-line LW. Spooner gets Connolly and Beleskey.

I can't disagree with that.

If we want to be technical, he is on the top line, as everyone knows the Bruins best line is the Marchand/Bergeron duo. Eriksson just needs to be in the top 6, which to start the season he is.

I don't get the notion that Eriksson doesn't mesh well with these two. When he started out here, he was still learning a new team, new system, etc. Yeah, his first go-around didn't look great with Marchand and Bergy, but that was expected. Then he got concussed. That basically put a hamper into anything. He came back, and then got hurt again. Last year, when Eriksson was put with Marchand/Bergeron, he actually looked good there. That NYR game when he played with them, in particular, sticks in my head.

I think giving him an actual look with these two, wouldn't hurt. He's never really gotten one.

Have Hayes play his natural RW on the second line and make Loui the first-line LW. Spooner gets Connolly and Beleskey.

If the lines don't work out, I'm sure this will be something that is looked at. I don't mind the lineup as it stands right now. So long as Talbot and Kelly aren't playing together on the 4th. Hopefully Talbot not playing tonight is a sign he's out. Would much rather keep Randell up anyway.

Hell baby
I'm alright with that lineup, they just need to figure out what to do with Talbot so they can keep Randell around as the extra forward

Well, Loui is playing on the 1st line with Bergy and Marchand. Beleskey is on the 2nd line with Krejci and Pasta.

Trade or waive him would be nice.

With Kelly here, Talbot is redundant. Kelly is a better version than Talbot in every way. Now, i hate Chris Kelly with a passion, but since we aren't really in cap hell anymore, and he's up after this year, I can tolerate him for one more season in a 4TH line role, ONLY.

With plenty of hungry bottom 6 forwards ready to make an impact, what does Talbot bring over these guys? Experience, and that's pretty much it. We have a decent variety of bottom 6 forwards already. Blidh, Ferlin, Randell (hope he sticks), Kemppainen, and Hickman, just to name a few; each guy brings something to the table. Talbot just blocks another spot for one of these guys.

a 4th line of Kelly -- Kemppainen -- Rinaldo/Randell

would be fine to run with. If Randell doesn't cut it in the time here, waive him and call up one of the guys listed above.

Yeah, i don't understand it at all why Morrow is sitting, IN A PRESEASON GAME, for any one of Matt Irwin, Zach Trotman, and Kevan Miller...

Just makes no sense.

I like Belesky with Connolly and Spooner I also think Hayes is a better at RW than LW, my only problem is Loui on the top line, but I think I would rather have him there than with Bergeron and Marchand whom he has shown zero chemistry with, I would prefer Loui in Winnipeg but at least if (when) he fails on the top line maybe his supporters will stop making excuses for him.

Overall I like the forwards, the D still scares me, a lot.

Maybe this means Morrow makes the team and they need to see some of the others again to pick the final spot?

Maybe he has made the team and Irwin, Trotman and Miller are on the bubble or are being scouted by other teams.

Matt Iwrin and Adam McQuaid will get us closer to a lottery. Colin Miller and Morrow will get us closer to a playoff spot.

Remarkably ignorant comment about McQuaid. If you want to say he is overpaid, injury prone or his contract is too long fine, I disagree with that as well, but to say he will get us closer to a lottery pick because you must feel he is a poor defenseman is not well thought out. I believe 29 other teams would take McQuaid in a heartbeat.

He should not be a top 4 D, but is a perfect bottom pair D.
