I was surprised there aren't more guys who played during that decade. Then again, it's been more than 19 years since 1999.

Damn!!!
Since the turn of the century, time has gotten strange. It feels to me like the decade previous to this one was the 90's.
Insane how fast time is flying.

Igor Ivanov (b. 1970) still continues his career in Austrian lower leagues.

I know, Igor who? He never became a star player, but he did play for the last great CSKA Moscow team in the late 1980s with the Green Unit still intact, as well as won gold as a part of the Soviet WJC team with Bure, Mogilny, Fedorov & co. His only North American experience came playing with the Soviet Wings team in the IHL and his international career was over after representing Russia in the 1994 Olympics. Ending up in Austria may not have been on par with the achievements of his former colleagues, but continuing that career to this day definitely is.

Ivanov is second from left, after Kasatonov.
