Unpopular (probably) opinion - I’m not interested in trading Larsson at all. Anyone watching the Worlds is getting an eyeful of how good this guy is.

He gets a bad rap because Edmonton overpaid and he’s likely got offensive upside of 25 points, but he’s an elite defensive defenceman.

Yea I'm quite happy with Larsson.

It sucks we lost the trade to acquire him but that doesn't change the fact he is a quality defenseman who is a leader of our defense.

I think (HOPE) one of the bigger names ala Dobson/Boqvist/Wahlstrom falls to #10 as well. So the addition of the pick makes it a no for me.

This was a proposal on CapFriendly, No way you're getting Colton Parayko for Larsson+EDM 2018 1st round pick #10. That Blues fan is heavily under-valuing Parayko here.

Funny how the ask just a year ago was Leon Draisaitl, And now it's down to Larsson+#10 pick. St Louis would be crazy to take this offer.

Larsson is one of the most underappreciated players in the league because of who he was traded for. Thats not his fault. Larsson + expansion protected 10th (who should be a solid offensive dman) is poor asset management for Edmonton.

Totally understand Blues fans not wanting the deal, but as an Oil fan I'm not interested either. I think the Klefbom-Larsson pairing will bounce back in a big way. They played adequately as a top pair unit just a year before, and last season was just a combination of misfortune (lingering shoulder problem for Klefbom worsens; Larsson's father's health issues/passing).

We need to keep that unit together and add something to 10th OA to find a RH offensive D to pair with Nurse.

To get Parayko it likely costs Draisaitl as has been discussed so many times here.

I think the consensus is Drai for Parayko 1 for 1 is probably the fairest value for both sides.

Oilers fan saying no. In a vacuum the value's probably good, but I don't see the need. The Oilers will be fine running a balanced top four on defense--they don't need to burn more young assets to get a 'true top pairing D'. Unnecessary.
