Larionov could be an interesting coach for an NHL club

He failed in his first year with Russian U20 team, but it was obvious he had some very interesting ideas. It's just junior hockey takes a little bit more, than cool ideas. Especially on international level.

NHL clubs are different, and playing system means a lot more for them. Larionov's system is all about puck possession, and with NHL level players it could really be fun to watch. Not as boring, at least, as what most teams play.

He won't get a job unless he gets an assistant's gig in the NHL to start, and I have no idea if he has any interest in that.

Don’t see a guy getting hired by an NHL team with only 7 games of coaching experience that was a “failure.”

I think coaches have caught on to puck possession...a long time ago.

Either way, NHL teams unfortunately just recycle the same coaches over and over again, more or less.

It's like getting roasted by Gordon Ramsay on twitter on a "rate my dish" and then expecting a Food Network gig.
