Beautiful, but what does "infestne" mean?

You're being sarcastic right?

On the off chance you missed it - Bobby Ryan wasn't on the American Olympic team.

One of the people who didn't want him on the team - Brian Burke said something along the lines of "Bobby Ryan can't spell intensity".

So infestne. God Burke is such a moron. As soon as he landed a job where he didn't greatly benefit from his predecessor (Toronto) he failed.

Wild card chase standings, right now as it stands...

We have 3 games remaining, with 93 points currently and 34 ROW.
This means that at best we finish the season at 99 points and 37 ROW.

Of the teams ahead of us:
Boston has 95 points and 37 ROW (therefore magic number of 4 plus 1 ROW to clinch - we have second tiebreaker: 6 points to 4 points gained in H2H, dropping first Boston homegame as it's the 5th game)
Detroit has 95 points and 37 ROW (therefore magic number of 4 plus 1 ROW to clinch - we currently own third tiebreaker by +5GD, second tiebreaker is a tie at 5 points to 5 points in H2H)
Pittsburgh has 95 points and 38 ROW (therefore magic number of 4 points to clinch)
NYI has 98 points and 39 ROW (therefore magic number of 1 to clinch)

If Penguins beat us in Regulation that'd be a 4 point swing and they'd clinch as would NYI. Also both Boston and Detroit at that point would only need 2 points to punch their tickets

If we win in regulation, hopes are still quite alive.
Win in OT/SO - still a chance, but we might have to hope that the Isles lose out (entirely in regulation) to keep options open.

Slight correction, Burke wanted Ryan on the team. He did say Ryan couldn't spell intense but he wasn't one that didn't want him on the team

So, we lose this in regulation, Pittsburgh wins they clinch. Red wings and Boston win their next game respectfully, we're out of it (if we lose in regulation tomorrow). Right?

Excellent GDT. We needed this one! :yo:

I still want to see a high-def video of the overhead cam on the Methot shot, and closing the other thread won't silence me! :P

Carried over from the PGT.

Had the puck went in, there wouldn't be anything the league could do no?

Not unless they made a special exception to the rules, no.
Basically once you have a faceoff to start a new play sequence, any goal or non-goal is finalized.
