I would be as well. I thought the Marleau signing last summer was a good one by the leafs, i like this one too. It’s Kovalchuk not someone who’s a bender . He still produced in the KHL. We always say players in their 35+ years will be bad blah blah blah what about Marleau ? Joe Thornton ? Selanne ? And many others . This first time Kopi has someone with the sniper capabilities. I for one am very excited
if he's chasing a Cup, signing with a team that's been on the decline for several years is counterproductive. The Kings' window is slammed shut.
Same here, i am surprised its this low.I think this is a good contract. Kind of surprised nobody offered him more.
I'm a big fan of Kovalchuk.
6.25 though? ehh..
I like him as well but that is high?I'm a big fan of Kovalchuk.

Pacific is loading up
I wouldn't say that
#1 Center = Check
#1 D = Check
#1 Goalie = Check
If he can be a Jagr 2.0 and put up more points over that those 3yrs. I guess it wouldn’t be too bad. But still.I like him as well but that is high?
didn't they say that about his 13 year deal?3 year term for a player like kovalchuk should be of no concern
Lol are you serious bro?all 3 are declining hard and looked pretty damn silly against Vegas in the playoffs.

A Hart Finalist, a Norris Finalist, and the Jennings Trophy winner?all 3 are declining hard and looked pretty damn silly against Vegas in the playoffs.
I don't understand why people think this is too much money. Kovalchuk looks like he still has plenty in the tank, even if he's not going to be "the old" Kovalchuk (...well, he's now The Old Kovalchuk). With the cap going up, we're gonna see a lot of $6m deals handed out to lesser players than Kovy.
