A little surprised he got this deal but after showing some promise all the injuries really derailed his season, and with the Kings too-many-bodies personnel situation, it was impossible to battle back in. I see this as them doing him a solid, giving him a chance to grab a spot in camp, if not he gets waived and either wrecks the AHL again or gets claimed by a team looking for upside. He's definitely got an uphill battle to fight but at least they're giving him the chance to fight it.
